The portable, fast, and sensitive genetic detection platform

Introducing nanotechnology to genetic testing

For seed producers and harvested grain ag supply chain partners who need better solutions to track genetic markers and validate genetic composition, the ExpresSeed platform provides a simple self-service device that affordably and quickly detects and quantifies the presence of specific genes in samples.
Unlike costly and complex PCR-based methods, the ExpresSeed platform quantifies the presence of genetic markers using imaged self-assembling nanostructures.  This method dramatically improves mobility and speed, while significantly reducing costs.

Competitive Advantages:
  • Fast Detection-  Under 10 minutes
  • Reduced complexity-  Simply insert the sample and press “Run” to get presence/not present and fractional abundance results
  • Detecting non-amplified genomic DNA and distinguishing SNPs including non-protein sequences like RNAi
  • Portable
  • High-density multiplexing capabilities providing highly competitive costs per marker detected
  • Automated tracking and predictive modeling of data

Pilot Project Opportunties

NanoBio Designs is seeking industry pilot projects and early-adopting customers to share use cases that capitalize on:
  • Unique self-service devices that detects the presence of pre-programmed genetic markers
  • Quickly identifiable and inexpensive test results
  • Dramatically improved portability
